HR teams looking to leverage AI through recruitment

A new survey of those working in human resources (HR) has found that the majority of HR professionals regard artificial intelligence (AI) as a key priority.

This survey was conducted by Avature, a software firm that provides Human Capital Management (HMC) technology. More than 100 HR managers from around the country took part in it, and three out of every five named AI as the top issue. The purpose of the survey was to find out what those people feel will dominate corporate thinking between now and 2027.

The results show that most of them believe that the potential AI has to make HR processes more efficient is a major issue. 60% told the survey that AI and automation were what they were concentrating on; while 74% said they are already deploying AI solutions.

Some examples of how AI is being used include the utilisation of chatbots during early-stage recruitment, and deploying AI to filter potential candidates. However, many of those who took part in the survey indicated that they need more people with AI skills to really make the most of it.

Given the way this technology is going to radically reshape the workplace, businesses will need a transformative approach to it. Bringing in HR transformation services could help them to make the shift in a positive way.

Avature CEO Dimitri Boylan said that AI could potentially shake everything up, so firms – including those in HR – must have a solid strategy for its implementation.
